Digitalization is not just a technical phenomenon; it encompasses all areas of life as a powerful cultural process. The insight that socio-technical processes can be shaped allows for a fundamental reflection on the new possibilities and demands for action from both individual and collective perspectives. What challenges do our established beliefs and social practices face in the processes of responsibility, understanding, reason, and power? The contributors analyze current developments in digitalization and contribute to an enlightened public discussion about (un)desirable techno-cultural futures in light of provisional standards of practical reason.
