Phenomenological workshop

Under the title "Phänomenologische Werkstatt" (Phenomenological Workshop) a total of four volumes of Fink's records from 1927 to 1946 are published. After the first two volumes (3.1: Husserl's doctoral thesis and first years of assistance; 3.2: Bernauer Zeitmanuskripte, Cartesian Meditations and System of Phenomenological Philosophy), volume 3.3 now contains Fink's notes from the late 1930s, which represent the most mature form of his collaboration with Husserl. The volume offers a compact critical overview of Husserl's phenomenology as well as of Fink's own position within the phenomenological program. In addition to notes from his private lessons for Dorothy Ott on Husserl's Formal and Transcendental Logic, which contain the most advanced analysis of language from the Husserl period, the volume also contains Fink's collected suggestions.
