Safety Risk Blood

The aim of the Biostoffverordnung (Biological Substances Regulation) is to enhance workplace safety. The focus is on the potential hazards posed by health-damaging biological substances such as viruses, bacteria, or parasites. In pharmacies, there is a recurring risk of contact with highly infectious pathogens during blood tests. Therefore, the Biostoffverordnung mandates regular training for employees. Additional risk scenarios include an influenza or coronavirus pandemic.

Make it easy for yourself: With 25 charts, you can train your team on legal requirements for handling biological substances, risk assessments, and operational instructions, as well as suitable protective and hygiene measures. You can use a tabletop display or a PC and tablet for the presentation. Training slides, explanatory text, instructions for hand disinfection, and a documentation form are available for download.

New content in the 2nd edition: Coronavirus pandemic, BAK guidelines 'Physiological-Chemical Investigations - Conducting Blood Tests', updated TRBAs, and further additions to legal foundations.
