To answer the research question 'What contribution can care robots make in the Marienheim to address the impending nursing shortage?', both a quantitative study of nursing staff and a qualitative survey of management in a selected nursing and elderly care home were conducted. The first survey focused on the perceived workload and job satisfaction in daily nursing practice, as well as the employees' acceptance of care robots. The second research method examined the extent of the nursing shortage in the institution under consideration and the attributed potential of intelligent technology in supporting nursing staff.
