Compliance and employment law

Compliance – what is already standard for banks seems foreign outside the securities industry. A look at the USA shows that insider trading regulations have long been adopted in other industries and are making their way to Germany due to globalized companies and capital markets. However, labor law boundaries quickly become apparent, as compliance affects both the freedom of profession and the personal rights of employees. The author explores compliance from a labor law perspective, paying special attention to American multinational companies. Due to the significant extraterritorial reach of US insider trading laws, the interest in compliance is particularly pronounced there.
