What a beautiful chaos this is! Dozens of small animals scurry colorfully across white pages. On two legs, four, and more, with feathers, fins, and tentacles. Rough and somehow in a good mood. Then someone calls for a bit of order: "Please line up nicely behind each other!" Suddenly, the animals form a long line. They find joy in the task and show themselves to be obedient. Beetles with spots, birds, snails, and all sorts of mammals sort themselves at the call. By size, by color, by number of legs, by boys and girls (here the snail hesitates). This works until suddenly everyone agrees: That's enough! Ann Cathrin Raab illustrates her funny creatures with pen, ink, and summery colors.
