The impediment of economic advancement, the quantification and distribution of the utility loss to the surviving dependents, the imputation of benefits as well as the causal connection with little causality have one thing in common: they represent phenomena under liability law that are dogmatically difficult to grasp and are fraught with great uncertainties in practice. The 2019 Personal Injury Forum therefore dealt with them in detail. Another focus was on the manifold issues surrounding the involvement of the KESB in (child) injury compensation cases. The contributions are rounded off with an overview of the latest judgments and legislative activities in liability, private insurance and social security law.
