Perpetually Transient

In the latest curatorial discourse, the constellation is viewed as a key concept for a new formation of knowledge. In the exhibition "Perpetually Transient" at Kunst Raum Riehen, Heidi Brunnschweiler has brought together various works by Anahita Razmi, Basim Magdy, Florian Graf, and Bernd Behr, which are structured in an ambivalent manner. The curator illustrates through this example how the constellation can provide new structures for knowledge formation when it is able to incorporate difference and antagonism as a generative principle. Elena Zanichelli highlights ambivalence as a play of recombination in Anahita Razmi's works, which create polyvalent meanings and question cultural attributions. Andrei Pop examines Basim Magdy's works as forms of political allegory. These do not primarily generate an indeterminacy of meaning but rather reveal the difficulty.
