Penthesilea. Ein Requiem

The Greeks before the walls of Troy: the battle of the systems has become a war of position when the Amazons appear before the army camp. The Amazons are proud fighters - at their head: Queen Penthesilea in search of the once brilliant hero Achilles. She, who is not allowed to, loves him. And he, who cannot say so, loves her. Both are tired of murder. But the war is greater than any heroine or hero. And so a relentless game of love and death unfolds, while the battlefields all around come to life. After 'Phaedra, in Flames', 'Penthesilea. A Requiem' is the second part of Nino Haratischwili's theatre trilogy about strong female figures from Greek mythology. The concluding third part, Clytemnestra, is planned for autumn 2024.
