Roadmap is an eight-level general English course for adults that is practical and communicative, encouraging students to engage in conversations. Each lesson has clear language objectives based on the Global Scale of English, with carefully structured pathways for students to achieve them.

While each class covers essential language and speaking skills in a fast-track format, the extended course offers additional training in reading, writing, and listening. The student book includes an interactive eBook. Audio and video resources are available online and in the Pearson Practice English app, which also provides additional practice materials.

The student book consists of ten units, which include main input lessons as well as specific listening, reading, and writing lessons. An "English in Action" lesson focuses on key functional language with video clips and worksheets. A "Check and Reflect" lesson at the end of each unit helps learners assess their confidence and mastery of spoken language. At the end of the book, additional vocabulary, as well as grammar development and practice, are provided.

The interactive eBook is a digital version of the student book that includes audio and video at the point of use, allowing students to complete activities anywhere.
