Product details

Hawaii, December 7, 1941, just before 8 a.m.: Japanese torpedo bombers of the first wave of attack dive on the American Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor. For the second time in 30 years, a war becomes a world war. The attack on Pearl Harbor cost the lives of over 2,400 American soldiers, and numerous ships and aircraft were damaged. A day later, the American Congress declared war on Japan. On December 11, Germany responded with a declaration of war against the USA. Takuma Melber vividly and dynamically recounts the background, course, and consequences of the Japanese attack, which is surrounded by numerous conspiracy theories, bringing the dramatic events to life through close-ups of the historical figures involved. Unlike most Western authors, he also incorporates the perspective of the Japanese attackers.
