Paul is an ordinary teenager. At least, that's what he thought until one day two men in black suits showed up at his parents' house, wanting to talk to him about the greatest story in human history. Jehovah's Witnesses? Not at all! Paul has been selected by the space agency to participate in the first expedition to Alpha Centauri. An eight-week journey for the participants, but due to the theory of relativity, it translates to eight years of Earth time! Together with a melancholic spaceship commander, two eccentric individuals with seven Nobel Prizes, a biologist searching for extraterrestrial life, and a grumpy roommate, Paul sets off into space. After a turbulent journey, they actually encounter some incredibly lovable aliens who have simply never felt the need to broadcast their advanced civilization. This marks the beginning of a crazy science fiction series in which Émile Bravo intelligently and humorously addresses contemporary issues such as environmental destruction and genetic engineering.
