The message of the Koran

The important Islamic scholar Muhammad Asad, born as Leopold Weiss, 1900 - 1992, a leading figure of progressive Muslims, translated and commented the Koran for the Western world into English. His excellent translation is the only one that has been translated into many other languages. This made her world-famous. For the first time it is now available in German and thus gives the Koran new validity in the modern world.

The uniqueness of the translation is based on the fact that Muhammad Asad mastered Classical Arabic as well as the dialects of the Bedouin tribes. The Bedouins were the first addressees of the Koran. The cultural traditions of the nomads had remained unchanged since the emergence of Islam. Asad, who lived in Saudi Arabia for many years, studied it in detail for its historically authentic translation of the Islamic script.
