The new edition retains the ten chapters of the first edition, all of which have been updated and improved, and additionally includes seven entirely new chapters as well as a more detailed index. The number of illustrations has been significantly increased, and various lesions that were not included in the original edition have been added. The book places special emphasis on the correlation of pathology with epidemiology, clinical features, pathogenesis, and molecular genetics. Differential diagnoses are addressed, and information on staging, prognosis, and therapy is provided. The authors are leading experts in the field, including experienced members of the Head and Neck Pathology Working Group of the European Society of Pathology.
