Patholinguistische Diagnostik bei Sprachentwicklungsstörungen (PDSS)
German, Tobias Dörfler, Julia Siegmüller, Steffi Sachse, Christina Kauschke, 2022Product details
PDSS - the proven diagnostic tool now completely revamped with new norms/standardization.
The new PDSS makes it easier for speech therapists to assess the speech development level of their young patients. It is web-based and offers 10 different subtests that children can complete directly on a tablet or laptop. Depending on their age, the child can operate the device themselves, which additionally motivates them. The evaluation is done directly through the PDSS software, saving time and ensuring the objectivity of the assessment. The manual provides information on speech development and speech development disorders. You will find detailed instructions on how to conduct and evaluate the PDSS, whether you perform the tests analog or digitally. Additionally, the manual informs you about normative values with possible interpretations and therapy options. The accompanying sheets in the folder contain the visual motifs of the 10 subtests as well as the corresponding protocol sheets. With each product, you receive 5 PINs for using PDSS Online, making it ideal for group practices with multiple staff members.
10 meaningful subtests assess productive and receptive skills in the areas of vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar. All items have been tested and validated in several pilot phases.
Test administration and evaluation are supported by automated processes of the newly developed, browser-based software, making them time-efficient. The manual provides initial ideas for possible therapy derivations based on the diagnostic results.
Current normative data and test quality for the age range of 2;6-6;11 years have been collected in a nationwide standardization in Germany. Standardized instructions, evaluation, and interpretation guidelines ensure objectivity. The procedure is highly reliable and valid, as confirmed by a variety of indicators.
Child-friendly administration.
