Patchwork Natur

Inspiration from nature. During short walks and long hikes, or while gazing at the starry night sky, patchwork artist Bernadette Mayr gathers ideas that she then transforms into magnificent quilts and smaller projects like cushions, featuring impressive patterns and colors. She does not strictly adhere to the natural colors of animals and landscapes; instead, she interprets them artistically, creating interesting and original patterns. The artist works using free cutting techniques, foregoing templates and rulers. She draws on tried-and-true patchwork techniques, which are described in a well-illustrated foundational section. This approach makes it accessible for even inexperienced patchworkers to create beautiful models.
