Product details
Parzival's father Gahmuret dies in battle. His mother Herzeloyde isolates her son to spare him a similar fate, keeping him away from any contact with noble society. After meeting three knights in the forest, he decides to go to King Arthur's court. Despite his naive nature, he also attracts positive attention there. By killing a knight with his hunting spear, Parzival earns a suit of armor and is called 'the red knight' because of its color. The old Gurnemanz takes him under his wing and teaches him combat and courtly manners. After that, Parzival sets out to prove himself, helps Queen Condwiramurs, whose city is under siege by a suitor, and subsequently marries her. Although she becomes pregnant with his child, he continues on his journey. He finds the Grail castle Munsalvaesche and witnesses the ceremony of a miraculous feast.
