Product details

COVID-19 is a pandemic like no other; it is unprecedented, unpredictable, and devastating, but it also presents enormous opportunities for groundbreaking innovative thinking. Despite the inadequate preparation for health emergencies and the challenges posed by poverty and food insecurity, there are generally fewer COVID deaths in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) compared to industrialized regions. The traditional African diet essentially includes more micronutrient-rich vegetables, herbs, spices, and fruits that strengthen the immune system. Additionally, the population in SSA often suffers from malaria and typhoid outbreaks, which are regularly treated with the so-called Dr. Didier's Dual Therapy. Perhaps the long-term use of dual therapy and the dietary habits of most people in SSA make them more resilient to COVID-19. While the world should learn from Africa, the governments and businesses on the continent should modernize traditional African medicine (TAM) and promote herbal foods and medicines. The World Health Organization should impartially investigate the reported successes of TAM remedies in treating COVID and other diseases, and the global community should assist in integrating TAM into the overall healthcare system.
