PANat-Laptool - ein Übungsinstrument für Patienten nach einem Schlaganfall

The increasing proportion of older people in the population leads to a steady rise in the number of patients after a stroke. To improve the functionality of the paretic arm following a brain injury, standard therapies are often conducted. Complementary repetitive self-training can additionally have a lasting positive effect on motor arm function. For this purpose, the PANat-Laptool has been newly developed, which is introduced in this book. The first part describes previous studies as well as various training approaches for the severely affected paretic arm after a stroke. Following this, the PANat-Laptool is explained, which offers an almost unlimited variety of exercise options. How effective is standard therapy in combination with this instrument?
