Palatinate Restaurant Guide 2024/2025

Few German regions are as vibrant in culinary terms as the Palatinate. For the 23rd edition of the Palatinate Restaurant Guide, our testers discovered many new establishments and concepts in the South, Vorderpfalz, and Westpfalz – from traditional to modern wine taverns, gourmet restaurants with sustainable concepts, as well as vegetarian menus or vegan options. As always, a total of 300 establishments were critically, anonymously, and independently tested. The result is 142 restaurant recommendations across all categories, including over 40 newly opened, newly managed, or rediscovered venues. This time, the ten best restaurants from Karlsruhe are also included. We have complemented them with the best wine bars, wine shops, and insider tips, as well as the most recommended wine hotels. And because the right drink is also part of a restaurant visit, we additionally describe more than 60 of the most recommended wineries in the Palatinate.
