Ours & Ursina

Ours and Ursina meet in passing at the Parc aux Ours in Berne. Ursina, who comes from the city of Berne, remarks that Ours speaks French. Having seen a film the night before, the young girl wants to spend a day learning French. The two young people embark on a passionate journey through the three administrative districts of the canton of Berne, discovering various places of interest. They use different means of transport, including a boat with a boat engine. Along the way, they encounter many animals, plants, and even people. They learn how to make Emmental cheese at a demonstration dairy. Finally, they arrive in the administrative district of Jura Bernois, where Ours is originally from. The finale brings a surprising rebirth. The book features beautiful illustrations and is entirely bilingual in German and French, published in partnership with the organization "BernBilingue." The aim of this publication is to familiarize children and young people from French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland with the other national language.
