Region Engadin

In the Engadin, in Samnaun and the Graubünden southern valleys of Bregaglia, Poschiavo, and Münstertal, there are hiking trails for every taste: through forests, to easily accessible peaks, along lakes, and through cultural landscapes. As with all guides in the GenussWandern series, the hikes in this guide are also a maximum of three hours long, with minimal elevation changes. The routes follow marked paths, making navigation very easy. The starting and ending points are well accessible by train and bus and usually offer a place to stop for refreshments. On these leisurely hikes, there is time to experience nature and culture, observe wildlife, admire colorful flower meadows and majestic peaks, or enjoy a piece of Engadine nut cake in a guesthouse. Even late risers can partake in these hikes. With 30 attractive hikes, you can discover a variety of corners: the Schellenursli village of Guarda, the chestnut groves of Soglio, fragrant larch and Swiss stone pine forests, landscapes painted by Segantini, growing glacier forefields at the Morteratsch Glacier, as well as typical villages and diverse cultural landscapes.
