Orgelschule zur historischen Aufführungspraxis 01

The organ school is aimed at organists who wish to integrate new insights from historical performance practice into their interpretation of works. It aims to help organists apply the specialized knowledge of historical performance practice, regained through scholarly research, to contemporary organ playing. Part A addresses the general technical foundations and various fundamental musical aspects, as well as the learning process itself. In Part B, compositions from different countries and eras are examined for their stylistic execution, including registration and ornamentation practices. Where the works discussed in the text volume are not available in reliable editions or are difficult to obtain, they have been included in the music section.
