Product details
Social services are under increasing pressure for change, which is often addressed through organizational development processes. Mirjana Zipperle examines, using the example of a restructuring process of a general social service and a counseling center in a youth welfare office, to what extent professional developments are initiated through organizational change. This question is posed against the backdrop of a theoretically derived current professionalism for services in youth welfare and is empirically answered based on interviews with experts and affected staff members. The author clarifies the various motives behind the organizational changes examined and discusses them from a social pedagogy perspective.
