Securing knowledge is important for every company and should therefore be carried out by all businesses. To efficiently store knowledge, a system tailored to the company is necessary. Due to the particular appeal of open-source software, this book explicitly focuses on this type of software. It provides an informative overview of existing programs and analyzes how well they can be used for knowledge management. The first part examines the specific requirements of knowledge and knowledge management. The systems are analyzed based on data from a real-world case study. For this purpose, a telecommunications company is surveyed, and example data for the analysis is extracted from the results of this survey. Following this, four systems are analyzed using the scoring method and the company's data, and it is described how these can be expanded and thus adapted to the company's requirements.
