Grandpa Winnie is incredible. In his life, he has set 857 records. For example, he holds the record for the slowest runner in the world. He has won an arm-wrestling match against a gorilla. And he has eaten the longest licorice spiral in the world (142 meters and 17 centimeters). All of this is documented in his personal book of records.

Today, Grandpa Winnie is planning a new record: with the help of a potion, he wants to become the lightest person in the world, because his doctor has informed him that he only has four weeks left to live. But not with Grandpa Winnie! Burial and cremation are not for him: he wants to become so light that he can fly to Venus and dissolve there in air and love.

This story about a special grandpa and his two grandchildren approaches the themes of death and grief, saying goodbye and remembering in a wonderful, touching, and entirely new way. It is accompanied by illustrations from the fabulous Kerstin Meyer.
