Ontologiebasiertes Ranking in der Suchmaschine

Today's web is human readable and the information cannot be easily processed by machines. The keyword-based search engines that currently exist offer an efficient way to search web content. However, they do not take into account the context of the user's query or web page and return a large number of results, only a few of which are relevant to the user. As a result, users are often faced with the daunting task of navigating through multiple pages to find the exact match. Moreover, the ranking factors used by these search engines do not take into account the context or domain of the web page. In this book, a ranking factor is developed for ranking a context-sensitive web page using the underlying ontology of the particular domain in which the page resides. The value of this factor is calculated by computing the number of data properties present in the web page.
