Erwin Brosch reveals the weaknesses of today's monitoring methodologies, particularly concerning electric drives. Furthermore, he demonstrates optimizations in monitoring and thus also in damage early detection. The author successfully transfers expert experience into monitoring practices. Despite the limited detailed knowledge about the prototype electric machines, he develops a method for creating thermal simulations of continuously changing electric drive systems. All the methods presented take into account typical procedures and processes during testing.
