Nine-year-old Felix has been living in an orphanage for over three years. His parents are not dead; they just need to solve their problems with their shop. For Jewish booksellers, 1942 in Poland is extremely difficult. Felix only realizes how difficult it is when men with armbands burn Jewish books in the orphanage. He runs away to warn his parents. Along the way, he saves little Zelda, whose family has been murdered - and he begins to sense what the Nazis really intend. A touching story of courage, survival, and friendship.
