Nutzung von (Kunden-)Daten im Rahmen des Provisionsgeschfts

The work examines various efforts of savings banks to assert themselves in a competitive environment through the targeted use of (customer) data within the commission business. Initially, the study addresses the question of what limits the Savings Bank Act of North Rhine-Westphalia imposes on the further development of the business activities of savings banks. Furthermore, selected issues of data protection law are discussed that arise in the context of the commercial use of (customer) data. A concluding section deals with how compliance with the previously established legal boundaries is ensured by internal and external control bodies of the savings banks.
