In this series, the name says it all: The books and DVDs are primarily aimed at beginners and those returning to music who want to refresh their skills after a long time. All the books come with a CD that demonstrates the respective exercises and allows you to play along with professional backing tracks. The clear graphic layout of the books and their great clarity make it easier to navigate and focus on the teaching content. The first pages provide a general introduction to the instrument, including details on its structure, characteristics, and proper posture. Then, it quickly moves on to the first exercises, which lead directly to the main goal - making and playing music! Each exercise is labeled in the text with the corresponding track number on the CD, so you can easily find the audio examples. Throughout the book, there are colored notes and tips from the authors related to the current topic. At the end of the book, there are musical pieces that allow you to bring together what you've learned. The DVDs contain the same content as the corresponding books and come with a multilingual audio track (German, English, French, Spanish). Additionally, there is a booklet that lists the exercises from the DVD, along with the notation or tablature examples presented on the DVD. Various camera angles (e.g., left and right hand, zoom/full view) and the display of the notation/tab for each exercise ensure an optimal presentation of the playing techniques.
