The exceptional swimmer Josia Topf, as he is called in the media, has already made quite a few headlines. As a severely physically handicapped boy without knee joints or arms, he sets a world record in the 50m butterfly, qualifies for the Paralympics and graduates from a regular high school at the age of 18. This impressive story is told from the perspective of his mother, Wiebke Topf, in an entertaining and honest way. This book is not mainly about what is possible despite a very difficult start in life with a permanent handicap. Rather, it aims to encourage people whose lives have come to a standstill due to a painful experience to move on and find a new perspective.
