Numerische Modellierung und Simulation für das Strangpressen von Aluminiumprofilen

This book deals with CFD analyses and the extrusion of aluminum profiles. It highlights the most common problems encountered in aluminum extrusion, issues with tools, extrusion tools, and, most importantly, the solutions to these problems. Using COMSOL Multiphysics, the user can find step-by-step solutions for frequent issues such as pressure, force, stress, load, vibrations, and thermal effects on the extrusion tools. The first part of the book presents statistics on aluminum consumption over the past 15 years. Theoretically, it explains the components of the extrusion process and the types of tools used in extrusion. The second part of the book showcases a numerical simulation of a real profile produced by the German company HUECK. The parameters used in the simulation are the same as those of the extruded profile, and the results after the simulation closely match real-life outcomes.
