Noyan 2015-2022

"Noyan 2015–2022" is the debut work of Zurich-based photographer Noah Noyan Wenzinger. It photographically narrates the coming-of-age of a young man who captures various events in his own unique way, always accompanied by his analog point-and-shoot camera. The main protagonists are Noyan's close friends, who surround him, inspire him, and grow up alongside him. His visual language is difficult to categorize, forming a conglomerate of diverse influences from the worlds of film, music, and gaming, as well as photographic inspirations like Bruce Gilden, Walter Pfeiffer, and Ari Marcopoulos.

The work has a clear connection to Switzerland, yet it offers an insight into Generation Y-Z that is not typical of Switzerland—both in terms of image content and form. It is precisely in this contrast that the allure and significance of this project lie.

"Noyan 2015–2022" is a very personal snapshot of an already extensive archive that the artist keeps at home in his Zurich apartment, where the heart of his book unfolds. The photographs depict his everyday life, as well as nightlife, concerts, vacations, and stills from music videos. The book is complemented by 16 drawings from Noah Stark (Clutterstew), who tirelessly infuses his unmistakable character into everything he touches. Both artists share a long-standing friendship with many shared interests, aesthetics, and stories.
