This book is aimed at the graduating classes of the new eighth grade. What does "level" mean? First of all, regarding the content of the book. As the title suggests, it is about ciphers and codes. The topic is truly fascinating. No one has ever written so detailed yet simple for students, and that is exactly why the book is also aimed at teachers, because although the information contained is not hard to find, it is difficult to locate in literature, even online. One chapter is clearly written for adult readers. I want to inspire everyone, students and teachers alike, for mathematics, and I do not achieve this with tasks that resemble those in school, nor with those from competitions and Olympiads.

The book also addresses something else: the mathematics that arises from the task of coding and encrypting. In any case, the reader will experience a somewhat different mathematics than in school. Is it easier? Hard to say, but it will definitely be different and interesting. There may be many calculations, but in the 21st century, that is not a big deal. You can't do without numbers.
