Novecento

"Novecento" tells the story of the brilliant pianist Danny Boodmann T. D. Lemon Novecento, who is born on an ocean liner in the year 1900 and grows up there as an orphaned child with the sailor Danny Boodmann (after whom he is named). He spends his entire life on the "Virginian," where he plays piano as part of the Atlantic Jazz Band and gains worldwide fame, despite never stepping foot on land. His fate is sealed shortly after the end of World War II when he refuses to leave the ship destined for scrapping and chooses to blow it up with himself on board. Italian reading: Level B2 (GER).
