New instructions for the cult pattern Woolly-warm trend: Norwegian patterns, titled a program by Norddeutscher Rundfunk in January 2011. Norwegian motifs are also trendy in homestyling! Inspired by the traditional patterns of Norwegian folk art, the authors present 30 projects, ranging from items that can be easily made using basic knitting techniques, to those with simple embellishments, and even more complex patterns with two colors. Hats and gloves, headbands, bags, a baby blanket, a backpack, shawls, socks, scarves, and sweaters can be created with these patterns, as well as unusual items like a cowl hat or a shaggy bag. The history of the various pieces and patterns is also explained, with old photographs bridging the gap to the past.
