Normativität des Korans im Zeichen gesellschaftlichen Wandels

In a time of rapid societal and global changes, there is a particular need for a thorough engagement with traditional Muslim ethical and moral values as well as normative concepts, especially in migration contexts. The swift and complex change in values raises the question of the relationship between preserving one's own values and adapting or evolving norms and values to real-life conditions and contexts. In the process of this engagement between tradition and modernity, the question of theological norm-setting and value concepts comes into focus in the interest of Muslim life practices. The handling of the normative aspects of the Quran and the so-called normative verses (āyāt al-aḥkām) plays a key role in this. Given the multidimensionality of Islamic normative concepts, interdisciplinary approaches are required, and the topic is examined from three Islamic theological perspectives (Quranic hermeneutics, normative theory, religious education).
