Nicht mit uns

"Not with us" tells the moving story of Leonie Rosner and Walter Frankenstein, who fall in love and marry in Berlin in 1941. Their family grows with the birth of their son Peter-Uri in 1943. However, when the Nazis plan to deport them to extermination camps, the Frankensteins go into hiding with their newborn baby. In a time of terror and persecution, they manage to survive underground, supported by the solidarity of others. After the end of World War II, a new odyssey begins for the family as they try to leave Germany and build a new life in Israel. However, Walter is interned while attempting to immigrate to Palestine. The story is a powerful testament to the will to survive and the hope of a Jewish family during one of the darkest times in history.
