Nicht bei Trost. Tessitura

For 20 years, Franz Dodel has been writing his unique endless poem "Nicht bei Trost," which has now grown to over 42,000 verses alternating between 5 and 7 syllables. The author works daily on this self-propelling text fabric, which does not orient itself towards an end, a goal, or dubious offers of comfort, but rather towards the openness of meandering reflection and sensually precise observation. Through the calm rhythmic flow of words, the abundance of Dodel's images and quotes, biographical fragments of memory, and observations of nature come together in a light-footed meditation on God, the world, and the self. The now available seventh part "Nicht bei Trost. Tessitura" includes verses 36,001–42,000 and is published in the same format as the previous volumes: finest thin paper in a supple leather fiber binding.
