New York Graffiti 1970-1995

Markus Wiese lives and works in Dortmund. Since 1986, he has been active as a sprayer under the pseudonym Mason. Initially, his spray radius was limited to the Dortmund area. In 1990, he had his first solo exhibition. In 1991, he visited New York, followed by more exhibitions and work as a visual author for various graffiti magazines in 1992. He made additional visits to New York thereafter. Since 1993, Markus Wiese has also earned a living through commissioned works.
