A biblical study of the New Testament aims to provide students with a solid overview of the content of the New Testament writings. This work follows a unique approach: the goal is to assist students in organizing the material they typically need to learn for exams, without boring them with retellings of the biblical texts, but rather guiding them to ask the right questions about the texts.

The prior knowledge of the students is assumed to be minimal, so that the book is equally beneficial for full theology students and those studying to become teachers, as well as for students with a strong church background and those who are less familiar with the biblical texts. This goal is also supported by distinguishing between basic and specialized knowledge, which is differentiated through question catalogs.
