Health is a valuable asset - for every individual and for society. Germany can therefore consider itself fortunate to have a health system that is efficient by international standards. Nevertheless, the current Corona pandemic overshadows the health policy debates of recent years and decades and turns the magnifying glass on new and old problems. The German health system is stuck in a developmental backlog. In 2018, the Robert Bosch Stiftung launched the initiative "Restart! Reformwerkstatt für unser Gesundheitswesen" (Reform Workshop for our Health Care System) initiative in 2018 in order to take a position in dialogue with citizens and in cooperation with experts from science and practice and to outline requirements for a future health care system. "Neustart!" is an attempt to find orientation from the middle of society, to develop perspectives for a health policy of the long lines and to give courage for far-reaching changes. "New Start!" wants to be the trigger for a major development step in the health system. For a health system that rightly bears this name. The book presents the results of the initiative "Neustart! Reformwerkstatt für unser Gesundheitswesen", sets impulses for a new foundation and the tasks of politics in the health sector.
