ADHD is often referred to as the "fidgety Philip syndrome" or a trendy illness, which trivializes it. Ursula Frühe knows from her daily life with two affected sons how burdensome and nerve-wracking it is to raise one or more children with ADHD, which has pushed her to her own limits. Ursula Frühe candidly shares her experiences of "powder kegs on two legs," the daily struggle with homework, and evenings that hardly deserve the name. She dispels societal prejudices and blame that add to the challenges faced by affected families. Despite all the despair that comes with ADHD, the message at the end is that help is available: for the affected children, but equally for the entire family.
