Research into the neurobiological aspects of addiction diseases serves to understand the causes of the disease, its specific treatment and the destigmatisation of the people affected. The volume presents the leading symptoms of addiction disorders, relates them to their neurobiological basis and discusses the similarities and differences between the various addiction disorders.
