Thesis from 2020 in the field of Leadership and Human Resources - Recruiting, Grade: 2.0, FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics & Management Non-Profit GmbH, Frankfurt, Course: Human Resource Management, Language: German.

Abstract: This paper examines the current use of new technologies in the Human Resources department. However, it focuses specifically on the processes and applications within the recruiting process. This includes the active recruitment of new employees through networks, processing applications, communicating with candidates, and the final selection of new employees as well as the methods employed in this process.

The impacts of globalization, digitalization, and demographic change also affect the work of the Human Resources department. The shortage of skilled workers poses a central challenge for many companies. Therefore, companies have been trying to prepare for the War for Talents for several years, as various studies predict a shortage of 4.9 million skilled workers in Germany by 2030.

For this reason, many companies are looking for potential solutions. Increasingly, they are turning to digital or machine-assisted tools, which have been accelerated by the trend of digitalization and aim to automate work in Human Resources departments. Considerations start with the standardized initial email, which is automatically sent upon receiving an application and is already considered a standard practice today. However, the use of Artificial Intelligence has significantly advanced these considerations and has not yet reached its limits.
