Network is a teaching resource for adults and teenagers aged 16 and older with no prior knowledge. It consists of 6 half volumes or 3 full volumes that cover levels A1, A2, and B1, and prepares learners for the German as a Foreign Language certificate. Network is characterized by the integration of new media: the layout, numerous topics, text types, and tasks create a connection to the digital world. With Network, learners quickly reach a level where they can communicate successfully, as phrases, vocabulary, and structures are presented and practiced not only in small steps but also early on in a comprehensive manner. The tasks are learner-activating and diverse. Grammar is ready-to-use and integrated into the chapter flow in a communication-relevant way. Important aspects of spoken language are addressed appropriately for the level from the very beginning. Multilingualism and native language considerations are also taken into account.
