Product details

1980 was a special year: For the first time, the African continent presented the diversity of its literatures to an international audience at the Frankfurt Book Fair. At the same time, an association was founded that dedicated itself to the dialogue of cultures through their literatures: Litprom - Literatures of the World. It has long been a central agent for the circulation of stories, poems, and essays from Africa, Asia, and Latin America, as well as a platform for encounters between authors and their German audience. In celebration of Litprom's 40th anniversary and in connection with the memorable book fair focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa, an anthology is now being published featuring texts by significant African authors whose literary works have been published in German since 1980. Sustainable reading impressions that inspire a desire for the magnificent diversity of African voices!.
