It is a graphic identity that a person obtains through symbols or letters that may or may not correspond to their name, and that lends authenticity to a document. The signature is generally the most common act of writing by a person and is largely habitual. Since there are no rules for designing and creating signatures, they are very individual, depending on each person's mental design. The signature is often consciously formulated and serves as a trademark. It can be written in the form of illegible shapes or a series of clearly decipherable letters that distinctly represent the person's name. In many cases, they bear no resemblance to the author's name but are merely recognition marks. In any case, their structure and execution are relatively stable, and their characteristics are more or less produced unconsciously. Due to their repetition, the strokes and formations that make up a person's signature are usually consistent, even over long periods.
