In this respect, post-war modernist housing estates are an important factor in providing housing and stabilising the rental market in large cities. Lisa Kaufmann analyses the special features of housing estates as well as the challenges and potential for their further development. To this end, she combines quantitative and qualitative knowledge as a basis for decision-making and planning for future redensification. The focus is on further construction, the preservation of post-war modernist housing estates and the adaptation to today's needs and requirements.
